Barberfest 2008

The fourth annual Barber Vintage Festival for 2008 in its normal tradition was spectacular.

The weather didn't cooperate until about 12 noon on Saturday, October 18.  Once the rains subsided and the fog lifted, the event got under way and the racing began.

With Ducati as a sponsor for the weekend, there were many special events revolving around that marquee.  A special dinner hosted by Ducati was held on Saturday.  Ducati held demo rides and had a special exhibit of “Roland Sands Design Ducati Hypermotard.  (see photo)

The vintage racing was preempted by a spectacular air show and the racing was great to watch.

I have included some pictures of the museum for your enjoyment.  They do not do it justice.  The real beauty of the museum is walking in.

Barber’s  swap meet is a great place to find those unobtainable parts for your vintage ride.  There is plenty to see and buy and the staff does its best to keep it mud free.  First class all the way.

There are many clubs, holding concourse competitions and numerous charity rides through the great countryside of Leeds Alabama.  Hope you don't miss the fifth annual, get your tickets early,  especially if you want to camp.  Hope to see you there.

Here's hoping to give you a wave from the oncoming lane.
